The system is accessible through a wide area network of workstations in over 250 different locations around the state. ACIC also collects and publishes statistics on crime, manages the crime victim notification system and coordinates crime prevention activities. In 1925 the Ouachita Memorial Hospital was founded to meet the medical needs of Garland County and surrounding communities. National Park Medical Center replaced the old Ouachita Memorial Hospital and built a new main facility in 1985. Today, National Park Medical Center has grown into a 166-bed acute care facility and provides service to a five-county area, including Garland, Hot springs, Montgomery, Pike and Clark counties.
